Athens Ciné is seeking a part-time bookkeeper and administrative assistant to manage all bookkeeping essential functions and assist with day-to-day office functions. This position will require excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics, and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

Primary responsibilities include using various software tools to:

Input financial records of receipts and expenses Process daily receipts for box office and bar/cafe Post bills and make payments to vendors Invoice customers and process payments Generate reports

Maintain records in accordance with non-profit accounting standards Required Qualifications/Skills/Characteristics:

Experience with Quickbooks desktop
3-4 years of proven experience in all aspects of bookkeeping
Knowledge of accrual basis accounting procedures
Experience with Microsoft software, primarily Outlook email, Excel, and Word Detail-oriented, organized, consistent, dependable, and honest in dealings Good with numbers and spreadsheets
Keen focus and sense of urgency about accurate records and timelines
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable interacting with board and staff
Comfortable accessing information from a variety of online sources
Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and priorities

We will be happy to train a dependable and enthusiastic candidate in order to build on a background in bookkeeping and expand areas in which experience is lacking.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

Bookkeeping / finance / accounting background
Excellent attention to detail with strong interpersonal skills Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work Experience in using DonorPerfect
AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred Analytical / data-driven mindset
Strong spreadsheet skills
Assist the Executive Director with financial planning
