The Zellner Brothers have been making movies, short films, and music videos together since they were little kids. They are directors, writers, producers and actors, one of them is tall, and the other one is David. They once shared bunk beds. They’ve screened their work all around the globe, from the Berlinale to SXSW, premiering five shorts and five features at the Sundance Film Festival, including the Spirit Award nominated KUMIKO, THE TREASURE HUNTER (2014) and DAMSEL (2018) staring Robert Pattinson and Mia Wasikowska. They also directed several episodes of Showtime’s THE CURSE (2023) starring Emma Stone and created by Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie.
This year they unleashed their non-human nature-survival comedy drama, SASQUATCH SUNSET, starring Riley Keough and Jesse Eisenberg as a family of Bigfoot (both in full creature make up). The film will be released nationwide by Bleecker Street in April.
