In St. Pete Beach, FL, 70-year-old Steve Lamb knows everybody, and everybody knows Steve Lamb. As he pedals his memoir, “The Smuggler’s Ghost: When Marijuana Turned a Florida Teen Into a Millionaire Fugitive,” we learn how he garnered local fame decades ago—and how he intends to keep it.
CREW BIOS
Jodi Cash (Director, Producer & Writer) is a journalist from Atlanta living in Paris.
“The Green Flash” is an extension of her story, “High Times and Low Tides at Reefer Beach,” which was published by The Bitter Southerner, featuring photos by Ethan Payne. This is her first film.
Ethan Payne (Director, DP & Editor) is a documentary filmmaker and photographer. In 2022, his short doc “We Dance” played the Tribeca Film Festival and won awards in additional festivals throughout the year. He received the Director’s Spotlight Award for his short doc “We Travel” at the Ouray International Film Fest, as well as the Short Stories Award at the Washington DC Intl Film Festival and Best Short Documentary at the Berlin Independent Film Fest. This is his first feature-length film.
Gresham Cash (Composer & Producer) is a musician, composer, and writer. His former band Oak House was applauded by national outlets like NPR’s All Songs Considered, Daytrotter, Impose Magazine, Consequence of Sound, and Paste, and awarded Upstart of the Year in the 2015 Athens Flagpole Music Awards. “The Green Flash” is his first feature-length film.
Jake Gee (DP & Editor): Jake Gee is a counselor and filmmaker. He’s has made many short films,
including “The Spoken Word” and “Here Say: Speaking as Performance,” and he’s also created video content for nonprofits, businesses, startups, and musicians. “The Green Flash” is his first feature-length film.
